2024 Milan Design Week × Wu Bin · Pan Garden Art Installation
April 15-28, 2024, at the invitation of Gilda Bojardi, editor-in-chief of INTERNI magazine and initiator of Milan Design Week, Wu Bin, a China's top designer, together with Yardcom, presented "Travelogue on Mountain" art installation series titled "Pan Yuan: Momentality Unfold" at the 2024 Milan Design Week.
The "Pán Yuan" is a relatively soft and hazy oriental structure, which contrasts with the historical buildings around the University of Milan in a "light and heavy" way, and from a distance looks like an unreal oriental dream. In the central courtyard of the Cortile d' Onore at the University of Milan, in the slight fluttering of paper, you can feel the form of the wind, see the change of light, perceive the change of temperature... ...When history and reality are infinitely close to each other, and the architectural forms and aesthetic concepts of the East and the West converge within a stone's throw, momentality is monumentality of the moment. The coexistence of man and nature, modern yet oriental, is the pursuit of Wu Bin's design and Yardcom's infinite inquiry into man and nature.
The "Pán Yuan" will welcome designers, artists and aesthetics lovers from all over the world in Milan. As a designer who grew up in the Orient and looks at the world from the perspective of "Cross Vision", Wu Bin and Yardcom hope to use this installation to integrate different cultures and show the world the elegant and confident Orient. In the end, they will interpret the current world of harmony and difference.
