Forma Lenta takes its time & takes time.
Showing at Milan Design Week, the collection brings together OKHA Design Studio and Yardcom, in a collaboration grounded not in trend or novelty, but in the passion and pleasure of making things that permeate deeply and slowly. The work unfolds through proportion, articulation, punctuation and flow. It feels considered. Applicable to both indoor and outdoor, It feels lived with, soothing, linking past and present.
There is an ease to the way the pieces hold themselves, the longer the gaze the more profound the communication and connection. The influence of Carlo Scarpa is clear and present not as homage, but as temperament. Attention settles on junctions, on edges and those precise moments where one surface yields to another. The work holds space, lingers there, comfortable in the pause.
What becomes clear is that transition is where the collection finds its rhythm. A cut and shift in form catches the light. A change in scale alters the way the body moves around the object. These moments are charged, slightly open…this is where shadows sculpt and the work breathes.
Forma Lenta is composed construction, it has weight and the poetry of discord and balance. The way one decision leads calmly to the next. It is furniture shaped by time and noble values, a universal language across cultures, that form is strongest when it is allowed to arrive on its own terms, crafted slowly, decisively.
