Inspired by the covered walkways (yanlang) of traditional Chinese courtyards, this design reflects the classical Eastern philosophy of harmony between humanity and nature. Designer Wu Bin reinterprets this poetic spirit through a contemporary lens. The table legs echo the form of bamboo joints, expressing quiet elegance and humility. The tabletop draws inspiration from the winding stone paths of classical Chinese gardens, where natural seams and shifting patterns create a visual rhythm reminiscent of the winding path that leads to serenity. Crafted from hundreds of layers of natural wood-fiber pulp fused under high heat and pressure, the tabletop offers lasting durability across seasons while retaining a warm, tactile quality.

Wu Bin, the founder of W.DESIGN and a renowned designer, has extensive experience in interior, architectural, and product design spanning over 20 years.
